School officials have been meeting with representatives from the St. Clair County Health Department and the Regional Office of Education and have been continuously evaluating data related to COVID-19.
On August 7, strongly encouraged districts to begin the year remotely.  This week, the SCCHD provided guidance indicating that school districts have the ability to begin transitioning to in-person instruction, prioritizing implementation of safety guidelines provided by ISBE, IDPH and the Office of the Governor.  Each district is unique, and accordingly, will have differing factors to consider regarding the transition to in-person.  Please know our School Board is committed to providing in-person instruction safely to our families as soon as practical and as plans are finalized.

At this time, we have been in collaborative efforts with our teacher leaders and partner school districts to provide opportunities for in-person instruction in the near future. Currently, provided COVID 19 conditions do not change for the worse drastically, Shiloh Schools intend to offer an in-person option to all of our families beginning October 19, as that is the start of our second quarter. During the time prior to that date, Shiloh will be refining and testing safety protocols, reestablishing transportation, and attempting to reintroduce small groups before all return. More information on how that will be offered to our students will be forthcoming.
