Rules of the Classroom

It is with great pleasure that I welcome your child to art this year. I have planned many exciting projects. In order to provide my students with the excellent educational experiences that they deserve, I have developed the following classroom plan that will be in effect at all times.  Please discuss these rules with your child.
Rules:   The art room is an environment where learning takes place.
So I can teach effectively, students must

  • Be seated before the bell rings
  • Listen carefully to instructions/directions

  • Follow instructions/directions and work dilligently

  • Be nice...Be respectful to all people/things

If a student chooses to break a rule during a class period:

1st time: Name in the Disciple Book/Board

2nd time: A student has a name in the Discipline Book/Board
(a check is given)
Student will receive a Notice of Concern Slip
(This slip will be sent home for the parent to sign.)

3rd time  :A student has a name in the Discipline Book/Board:
Student will receive a pink slip and discipline action through
the school
office will be taken.

Serious offenses such as destroying school property, stealing, or a disruption of fighting with another student in class will result in the students involved reporting to the principal.

It is in your child’s best interest that we work together with regards to his or her education. I will be discussing this plan with all classes, but I would appreciate it if you would review it with him or her.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by email or by phone 618-632-7434 ext 120.

            Thank you for your support.
